Insurance & Payers
We work with a variety of payment sources to help make home care accessible. Please contact us directly to confirm current coverage and authorization requirements.
Payer Contracts Under Finalization
Lone Star Health Services LLC is in the process of finalizing contracts with managed care organizations (MCOs) and other payers. We are not currently listing specific accepted payers on this website to avoid any confusion.
Please call or email us to confirm whether we currently accept your specific plan or payer.
Understanding Payment Options
Home care services can be paid for through several channels. The right option depends on the client's diagnosis, income, age, and insurance coverage. Below is a general overview of the most common payment types — not a list of our currently accepted payers.
Medicaid / Managed Care (MCO)
Many Texans with Medicaid receive their benefits through a managed care organization (MCO). Personal Assistance Services are a covered benefit under several Medicaid waiver and acute care programs. Authorization is required from the MCO before services begin.
Call us to find out if we are currently in-network with your specific MCO.
Private Pay
Individuals and families can self-pay for home care services out of pocket. This option provides flexibility in scheduling and scope. Contact us for current rates and minimums.
Long-Term Care Insurance
Some private long-term care insurance (LTCI) policies cover home care services. Coverage varies widely by policy. We can work with your insurance coordinator to submit required documentation.
Veterans' Benefits
Veterans may qualify for home care benefits through VA programs. Eligibility and coverage depend on service history and VA enrollment status. We recommend contacting your VA case manager for guidance.
What We Do Not Accept (at this time)
We are a new agency actively building our payer network. Until a payer contract is signed and confirmed, we cannot bill that payer. We will update this page as contracts are finalized. Please call to get the most current information.
We Welcome Referrals
If you are a hospital discharge planner, social worker, physician, or MCO case manager, we are ready to accept appropriate referrals. Please contact our office to discuss the intake process and current authorization requirements.
